OKLAHOMA CITY – On Tuesday, the Oklahoma Senate passed Senate Bill 1959, authored by Sen. Jerry Alvord, R-Wilson. The bill protects children who have been victimized by pornography by insuring that child sexual abuse material is removed from pornographic websites.

OKLAHOMA CITY- The full Senate approved legislation Tuesday that ensures Oklahoma schools are prepared in the event of a cardiac emergency. Sen. Paul Rosino, R-Oklahoma City, authored Senate Bill 1921, which requires all public schools across the state to formulate a sudden cardiac emergency response plan.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Jo Anna Dossett, D-Tulsa, has won the support of the full Senate for her legislation to better prepare those stepping into the role of guardian for a person with dementia. Senate Bill 1751 would require training specific to dementia, including understanding the disease, communication techniques, and information about resources for caregivers.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Roger Thompson, R-Okemah, issued a statement Friday in response to Attorney General Gentner Drummond asking a federal judge to dismiss tribal charges against an Okmulgee County jail officer who was involved in a physical altercation with Muscogee Nation Lighthorse Police.
