-HB 1330 by Rep. Mike Ritze, creates the Ten Commandments Monument Display Act, authorizing the State Capitol Preservation Commission to permit and arrange for the placement of a suitable monument displaying the Ten Commandments on state Capitol grounds.

-HB 1061 by Rep. Ben Sherrer, allows a court clerk to charge and collect fees as determined by a municipal body.

-SCR 14 by Sen. Brian Bingman, praises volunteer firefighters and mourns the loss of firefighter John Adams.

-SR 24 by Sen. Debbe Leftwich, designates March 2009 as National Colon Cancer Awareness Month in the State of Oklahoma.

• Senate committees approved the following legislation on Monday:

-HB 2151 by Rep. Don Armes, provides that the Legislature preempts all local laws regarding the care and handling of livestock.

-SR 9 by Sen. Glenn Coffee, praises the professionalism of Oklahoman reporter John Greiner and wishes him well on the occasion of his retirement.

-SCR 12 by Sen. Glenn Coffee, declares that the Oklahoma Legislature will adjourn sine die no later than 5 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009.

-SCR 3 by Sen. Kenneth Corn, honors Bobby Taylor’s military career and service to veterans and mourns his loss.

-SB 387 by Sen. Tom Ivester, clarifies language pertaining to Medicaid eligibility.

-SB 1319 by Sen. Jay Paul Gumm, directs a statewide organization representing retired educators and having at least 7,500 members to appoint a member to the Teachers Retirement System Board of Trustees.

-SB 1267 by Sen. Mike Mazzei, establishes a deadline for the claiming of an income tax credit for investments in qualified electric motor vehicle property.

-SJR 24 by Sen. Mike Schulz, names the official Oklahoma State Rock and Roll Song.
