Greg Treat re-appropriates $2,856,257.00 of the original appropriation of $5 million, appropriated to the Office of the Attorney General from the Special Cash Fund in 2012 for the original purpose of prosecuting and defending of claims related to water and water rights in Oklahoma.

• The full Senate met on Monday and approved three bills.

-SB 144 by Sen. David Holt, R- Oklahoma City, creates the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority License Plate.

-SB 71, by Sen. Mark Allen, R-Spiro, adds chicken egg production to the definition of basic industry in the Quality Jobs program.

-SB 147 by Sen. Frank Simpson, R-Ardmore, modifies the use of funds in the Patriot License Plate Revolving Fund.

• Senate committees met and approved the following measures on Monday:

Monday, Feb. 9, 2015

• The Senate conducted no legislative business Monday but recognized the families of Oklahoma Gold Star Medal recipients. The medal is awarded to soldiers posthumously for valor after Sept. 11, 2011, and presented to their families. Recognized Monday were the families of Specialist Buddy Hughie, Staff Sergeant Kirk Owen, Sergeant Anthony Peterson, Specialist Joshua Seals, Specialist Christopher Gailey, Sergeant Mycal Prince, Corporal Michael Thompson, Sergeant Daniel Eshbaugh, First Lieutenant Damon Leehan, and Sergeant Bret Isenhower.

• The Oklahoma Senate convened briefly Monday at noon and then joined the members of the House of Representatives for a joint session in the House for Gov. Mary Fallin’s State of the State address.

• No legislation was taken up on the Senate floor on Monday.
