-SB 747 by Sen. Clark Jolley, exempts school psychologists or psychometrists from the general education portion of the required competency examination to successfully complete the professional education portion of the competency examination.

-SB 1713 by Sen. Jay Paul Gumm, designates a portion of State Highway 32 in Kingston west to the intersection of State Highway 377 in Madill as “Corporal Michael Eyre Thompson Memorial Highway.

• The Senate met Monday, approving the following bills:

-HB 3284 by Rep. Pam Peterson, creates the Statistical Abortion Reporting Act.

-HB 2780 by Rep. Lisa Billy, requires an abortion provider one hour prior to performing or inducing an abortion to perform an obstetric ultrasound on the woman, provide a simultaneous explanation of what the ultrasound is depicting.

• The Senate met Monday, approving the following bills:

-HB 2572 by Rep. Paul Wesselhoft, modifies language regarding demonstrations at a funeral service.

-HB 2168 by Rep. Mark McCullough, provides that any plea of guilty or finding of guilt for certain assault violations shall constitute a conviction for a period of 10 years following the completion of any court imposed probationary term.

-HB 2264 by Rep. Mike Christian, creates an additional $3 vehicle registration fee on motorcycles to be used for motorcycle safety and education programs.

-HB 2779 by Rep. Pat Ownbey, modifies the requirements of the Deputy Commissioner of the Banking Department and stipulates procedures of the Commissioner regarding failed banks and savings associations.
