• The Senate approved the following measures on Monday:

-SB 673 by Sen. Patrick Anderson, adds the Oklahoma Health Care Authority to the definition of “health care facility” in the Affordable Access to Health Care Act.

-SB 293 by Sen. Sean Burrage, authorizes the Grand River Dam Authority and municipally owned utilities to use funds to assist consumers in establishing energy conservation activities if there is a defined and measurable conservation of energy.

Monday, Feb. 22

• The Senate approved the following legislation on Monday:

-SB 1280 by Sen. Patrick Anderson, modifies the definition of “employment” under the Employment Security Act as it relates to home services as part of a program administered by the Department of Human Services.

-SB 1318 by Sen. Patrick Anderson, allows court clerks to charge 25 cents per page for making a copy of an instrument of record or on file pursuant to a request under the Open Records Act.

-SB 4 by Sen. John Ford, requires voters to provide proof of identity when voting.

-SB 413 by Sen. Bill Brown, modifies the definition of “consumer” under the Telemarketer Restriction Act to include any business association, partnership, firm, corporation and its affiliates or subsidiaries, or any other business entity.

• With attention focused on committee activity, the Senate approved two resolutions on Monday.

-SR 4 by Sen. Kenneth Corn, recognizes former Teachers Retirement System Secretary Tommy Beavors on his retirement.

-SR 7 by Sen. Patrick Anderson, commends the accomplishments of Amanda LaMunyon, of Enid.

• Several measures were approved by Senate committees Monday.

-SB 276 by Sen. Jay Paul Gumm, creates the Fair Practices of Equipment Manufacturers, Distributors, Wholesalers and Dealers Act.

• With attention focused on committee activity, the Senate approved no legislation on Monday.

• Senate committees approved the following measures on Monday:

-SB 1597 by Sen. Gary Stanislawski, states legislative intent that members of state boards and commissions serve for a limited period of time.

-SB 2133 by Sen. Constance Johnson, changes the name of the Office of Minority Health within the State Department of Health to the Office of Multicultural Health.

Monday, February 15

• The Senate approved numerous appropriations shell bills and the following substantive measures on Monday:

-SB 1840 by Sen. Anthony Sykes, creates a task force to study the availability of retail natural gas service in Southwestern Oklahoma.

-SB 2113 by Sen. Patrick Anderson, amends, merges, consolidates and repeals duplicate sections of the law.

-SB 1354 by Sen. Jerry Ellis, changes the maximum age of a commissioned officer position for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Division from 43 to 45.
