Bill Coleman, R-Ponca City, is the principal Senate author of House Bill 3484, which would require state agencies accepting a service contract, whether bid or no bid, to list the city, state, and country in which the services will be provided.

Shane Jett, R-Shawnee, said the state Attorney General’s office contacted him Thursday acknowledging receipt of his request for a multi-county grand jury into Shawnee Public Schools and requested additional information. Jett called on the AG Wednesday to investigate the alleged cover-up by the school district of years of accusations of student grooming and sexual assault by former coach and assistant athletic director Ron Arthur.

Brenda Stanley, R-Midwest City, is the principal author of Senate Bill 1430, which updates statutory definitions to reflect technological changes in these affordable, fuel efficient scooters.

OKLAHOMA CITY – A bill to strengthen the right of Oklahomans to use the pharmacy of their choice has been approved by the full Senate.  Senate Bill 1860, by Sen. Greg McCortney, passed the upper chamber with a vote of 42-5 on Tuesday.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Legislation passed the Senate Tuesday to make a higher education more attainable for members of the Oklahoma National Guard. Senate Bill 1418, also known as the Oklahoma National Guard Educational Assistance Act, by Sen. Kim David, would cover resident tuition and fees at Oklahoma colleges and universities for qualifying members.
