Senator Thompson Secures Passage of Measure to Rein in out-of-Control Dental Insurance Charges

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senator Kristen Thompson, R-Edmond, today secured passage of Senate Bill 1942, legislation aimed at preventing insurance companies from setting fees for dental services they do not cover.

If signed into law, the measure will restore greater pricing authority to dentists and limit insurers’ ability to dictate charges for procedures outside a patient’s coverage.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Senator Kristen Thompson, R-Edmond, has advanced Senate Bill 1833, legislation aimed at strengthening the integrity of Oklahoma’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by promoting healthier food purchases and reducing waste, fraud and abuse.
