OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Bill Coleman, R-Ponca City, was elected by his peers on Wednesday to serve as the Oklahoma Senate’s Majority Whip.

The 39-member Senate Republican Caucus held leadership elections during a retreat this week in Oklahoma City. After previously serving as an assistant whip, Coleman ran unopposed in his bid for majority whip.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Randy “Doc” Grellner, R-Cushing, was sworn into the Oklahoma Senate on Wednesday.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Lisa Standridge, R-Norman, proudly took her oath of office on Wednesday in a ceremony led by Sen. Brent Howard, the chamber’s chief presiding officer, in the Senate chamber. Standridge’s family and friends attended the special occasion in the Senate gallery.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Pro Tem Designee Lonnie Paxton, R-Tuttle, today has named key members of his leadership team after being tapped as the Senate’s next leader.

Pro Tem Designee Paxton has appointed Sen. Julie Daniels, R-Bartlesville, as the Senate Majority Floor Leader, Sen. Chuck Hall, R-Perry, as Appropriations Chairman and Sen. John Haste, R-Broken Arrow, as Vice Chairman of Appropriations.

Final vote will be on Senate Floor during organizational day
