The Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) is accepting applications for a new tag agent for Anadarko. That’s according to State Sen. Darcy Jech, who said the commission approved the move at their monthly meeting held on Thursday in Tulsa.

“Citizens who would normally be able to renew their driver license or tags in Anadarko have had to travel to other communities to conduct their business since the tag agency closed down,” said Jech, R-Kingfisher. “I’m pleased that OTC has begun the process to get the Anadarko tag agency open again.”

OKLAHOMA CITY – State Sen. Darcy Jech is commending the Senate’s approval of several gubernatorial executive nominations this month.  Elk City community members Bob Newcomb, Dr. Keith Fuchs and Joe D. Hall were all tapped to serve by Gov. Stitt, with Jech carrying the nominations through the confirmation process.   David Dyson was also nominated by Gov. Stitt earlier this year, but his nomination did not require Senate confirmation.

Bills return to House for action

The Oklahoma Senate on Thursday advanced a series of criminal justice reform measures that provide uniformity of certain drug offenses, improve parole supervision, and cap excessive sentences for nonviolent offenses, among other reforms.

Members of the Oklahoma Senate on Tuesday voted Senator Greg Treat as president pro tempore, the chamber’s top leadership post.

Treat previously served as the majority floor leader, the Senate’s second-highest leadership office, and was selected by Senate Republicans last year as their choice to lead the Senate. On Tuesday during organizational day, the entire Senate made it official and voted to name Treat as the Senate leader.

OKLAHOMA CITY –   State Senator Darcy Jech has been tapped to serve in three leadership roles for the upcoming 57th Legislature.  Jech, R-Kingfisher, has been selected to serve as the Rural Caucus Chair, as well as the Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Natural Resources and Regulatory Services and the Vice-Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
