The Oklahoma Veterans Council awarded Majority Floor Leader Todd Lamb on Tuesday with the “Senator of the Year” award for his continued commitment to veterans throughout the State of Oklahoma.
This award is given to the Senator who has been dedicated to assisting the Oklahoma Veterans Council in meeting the needs of veterans in the State Legislature.
“We are grateful to Senator Lamb for his extraordinary efforts in meeting the needs of Oklahoma veterans,” said Colonel Pete Peterson, Chairman of the Oklahoma Veterans Council. “This is a token of our appreciation for his efforts in support of Oklahoma veterans in the State Senate.”
Lamb said he was honored to receive such an award from a group our entire society is indebted to.
“All veterans have made sacrifices, some paying the ultimate sacrifice, yet they ask for so little in return,” said Lamb. “As a state legislator, it’s an honor to serve these men and women who define service themselves. I am humbled by the honor extended by the Oklahoma Veterans Council and I look forward to continue working on behalf of those who gave so much for our country.”
