OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Darcy Jech, R-Kingfisher, is expressing his thanks to those constituents he served for eight years in the Senate who now will be represented by other members due to redistricting following the last U.S. Census.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Legislation has been filed to cut and replace financial ties and control of the federal government over common education in Oklahoma. Sen.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Pro Tem Greg Treat joined Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson III today to warn Oklahoma County residents about scams impacting area residents, after he was the target of a scam.

Recently, the pro tem received a fraud phone call from someone who claimed to be with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office. They said he failed to appear in front of an Oklahoma County judge.

Before the call could escalate, Treat told the individual he knew Sherriff Johnson and was going to call him. The individual hung up the phone after that.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has filed Senate Bill 720, to ensure firearm suppressors and the basic materials used to manufacture them in Oklahoma are not subject to federal laws or regulations.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Nathan Dahm, R-Broken Arrow, has filed legislation to protect the Second Amendment rights of Oklahomans and prevent further federal overreach.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Greg McCortney, R-Ada, is pointing to one of his bills filed ahead of the 2023 session as a great example of how the legislative process should work.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has filed Senate Bill 187, which would increase the amount of living and transportation expenses that could be paid on behalf of a birth mother through the adoption process.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Blake Stephens, R-Tahlequah, will be hosting a blood drive on Feb. 9 with the Oklahoma Blood Institute. Stephens encourages the public and everyone at the Capitol to participate.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has filed two measures for the 2023 session aimed at strengthening Oklahoma’s election processes.
