OKLAHOMA CITY – The Senate Health and Human Services Committee approved Senate Bill 1239 Thursday. The measure, authored by Sen. Warren Hamilton, R-McCurtain, seeks to reduce regulations on home childcare providers in an effort to alleviate child care deserts across the state.

Legislation would improve response time to cases involving abducted children

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has introduced Senate Bill 1704, aimed at protecting landowners' rights in cases of adverse possession.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Cody Rogers, R-Tulsa, is the author of Senate Bill 1391, which would designate funds to the Oklahoma Water Resources Board for the purpose of funding improvements for levees along the Arkansas River, in addition to matching funds for levee projects.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Young has announced he will step down from his Senate District 48 seat effective Nov. 15, 2024. Young, D-Oklahoma City, was first elected to the Oklahoma House in 2014 and then to the Senate in 2018.  

OKLAHOMA CITY- Senate Bill 1921, authored by Sen. Paul Rosino, R-Oklahoma City, will ensure Oklahoma’s school districts are equipped and trained to respond to a cardiac emergency in athletic facilities or other school sites.
