Taylor Comments on Texas Plan Report

Statement by Senator Stratton Taylor,
Senate President Pro Tempore

"I haven't had time to read the report thoroughly so I can't comment on the specifics. I am anxious to review the recommendations and all the supporting information. In the weeks and months to come, I will be discussing the report with fellow legislators, Governor Keating and
Oklahoma citizens to help determine the best course of action for our state."

"We have an opportunity to make some important reforms to the Oklahoma tax system and I believe that this report is an excellent starting point for those discussions. I remain committed to repealing the personal income tax and the sales tax on groceries."
