Statement from Senate Democratic Leader Kay Floyd Regarding Senate Appropriations Meeting

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Democratic Leader Kay Floyd, D-Oklahoma City, issued the following statement regarding Senate Bills 108, 503, and 129, which passed the Senate Appropriations Committee Wednesday.

“Today, our colleagues continued to demonstrate their lack of trust in Oklahomans. The GOP does not believe Oklahomans should be in charge of their own medical choices or how they express themselves. Our colleagues even went so far as to undo voters' decisions made at the ballot box. The Legislature should be spending this deadline week actually addressing the challenges Oklahomans face, not passing laws that divide us. These policies are bad for Oklahoma.” – Democratic Leader Kay Floyd
