OKLAHOMA CITY – State Senator Joseph Silk recently received the Freshman Senator of the Year award from the Oklahoma Conservative Political Action Committee (OCPAC).
“It’s an honor to be recognized by this organization for my work in state government,” said Silk, R-Broken Bow. “I will continue to support smaller government and strive to promote liberty and our free market.”
OCPAC called Silk a courageous leader in conservative state government, noting his outstanding work in protecting individual liberties.
"We are pleased to name Senator Joseph Silk the OCPAC Senate Freshman of the Year. It is clear that Senator Silk has a thorough understanding of conservative principles, and most importantly, that he is dedicated to governing by those principles,” said OCPAC President John Michener. “Senator Silk knows the value of limited government and protecting individual liberty, and he has demonstrated his commitment to these principles by his voting record. His courage, good character, and leadership qualities have also been on display at the Capitol and in the news. We are excited to see what Senator Silk brings to the great state of Oklahoma in years to come.”
