OKLAHOMA CITY – Senator Casey Murdock, R-Felt, and Senator Spencer Kern, R-Duncan, were recently named legislative champions by the Oklahoma Rural Association (ORA).
ORA’s Legislator Champion Award is given to legislators who champion economic development and stand up for the shared values that define rural Oklahoma.
“I’m honored to be recognized by the Oklahoma Rural Association,” Murdock said. “Every decision I make in the Legislature is guided by the needs of rural Oklahoma. From supporting our farmers and small businesses to advancing policies that drive economic growth, I am committed to ensuring that our rural communities have the resources, opportunities, and safeguards they need to thrive.”
Murdock and Kern were recognized for their work to advance pro-growth policies that promote development and opportunity in rural and underserved communities throughout Oklahoma.
“I’m grateful to the Oklahoma Rural Association for this honor and for their dedication to strengthening the future of our rural communities,” Kern said. “Rural Oklahoma feeds our families, fuels our economy, and preserves our way of life. I’ll continue to fight for the Southwest Oklahoma producers, businesses, and communities that keep our region and state strong.”
The lawmakers also emphasized their commitment to advancing policies to protect and support rural communities in the upcoming legislative session.
