Senator Hamilton Speaks at Abolition Day

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Warren Hamilton, R-McCurtain, spoke at the 2025 Abolition Day rally held at the State Capitol Tuesday.

“Abolition Day gave us the opportunity to gather with fellow Oklahomans who continue to fight for the protection and rights of the innocent among us,” Hamilton said. “I appreciate those who engaged in discussions with lawmakers and expressed their support for the complete abolishment of abortion in our state. We must continue fighting for equal justice and equal protection and keep working to ensure our laws are free of loopholes that allow the continued loss of innocent children’s lives.”

“If the government is failing the people, it is because the church is failing the people,” Hamilton added.

Hamilton is the co-author of the Abolition of Abortion Act, or Senate Bill 456. The measure aims to close loopholes in current state law and prohibit self-managed abortions.
