OKLAHOMA CITY – Senator Warren Hamilton, R-McCurtain, recently received the American Farmers & Ranchers (AFR) Legislative Advocacy Award. Hamilton was selected for his consistent support of AFR Cooperative policies during the 2025 legislative session.
“I’m humbled and honored to accept this award from the members and leaders of American Farmers and Ranchers,” Hamilton said. “This honor reflects our shared commitment to support the state’s agriculture industry and is especially meaningful coming from an organization that has stood with farmers and ranchers for decades.”
Hamilton was recognized for his legislative efforts in the 2025 session to protect consumers by requiring cell-cultured meats or insect-protein food products to be labeled as such.
He was further recognized for his commitment to standing for rural Oklahoma values and supporting initiatives that reflect AFR members’ priorities.
“As a rancher in Southeast Oklahoma, I know firsthand the challenges faced by producers in our state and nation. I will continue to represent rural Oklahoma values in every legislative decision, ensuring that farmers and ranchers’ interests are protected. I look forward to continued collaboration with AFR members in Senate District 7 and across the state to shape legislation that supports rural Oklahomans and our agricultural economy,” Hamilton said.
AFR President Scott Blubaugh presented Hamilton with the award at the state Capitol.
