Senator Greg Treat, president pro tempore-designate of the Oklahoma Senate, has been elected to serve on the 2018-2019 National Conference of State Legislatures’ (NCSL) Executive Committee.
“I’m honored to serve in a leadership role for NCSL,” said Treat, R-Oklahoma City. “NCSL is a great resource that provides research and analysis, training and seminars, and other resources to lawmakers in state capitols across the country. I’m excited to give Oklahoma a voice on this important national committee.”
The NCSL Executive Committee is the governing body of NCSL, which is a bipartisan organization that serves the legislators and staff of the states, commonwealths and territories. Comprised of 63 elected members, the executive committee drives the organization by supervising and controlling the affairs of its annual legislative conference, its committees, and publications.
“We are pleased to have Senator Treat’s expertise on NCSL’s Executive Committee,” said NCSL President and Illinois Senator Toi Hutchinson. “Senator Treat’s participation in NCSL over the years has been a key part of the organization’s success.”
Senator Treat has been an active participant in NCSL since being elected to office, and has served on the NCSL Redistricting and Elections Committee.
