OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, recently welcomed members of Leadership LeFlore County to the State Capitol as part of their ongoing curriculum to develop the next generation of community and business leaders.
Leadership LeFlore County is designed to equip up-and-coming professionals in the LeFlore County area with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to make a meaningful impact in their workplaces, organizations, and communities. The program emphasizes the importance of leadership as an action—creating positive influence and motivating others toward shared goals.
“It was a privilege to meet with such a motivated and forward-thinking group of young professionals,” Senator Burns said. “Leadership LeFlore County plays a critical role in preparing future leaders by helping them understand not only how government functions but also how they can lead with integrity and purpose in every aspect of life. Great leaders empower others by instilling confidence and a sense of purpose. It’s inspiring to see the enthusiasm these individuals bring to building a better future for LeFlore County and beyond.”
The program’s curriculum focuses on management fundamentals, leadership styles, productivity strategies, and the value of building strong networks. Participants are encouraged to embrace leadership in all its forms and to cultivate the qualities that inspire confidence, resilience, and success.
