Senate Democratic Leader Kirt comments on voter portal problems on deadline day

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Democratic Leader Julia Kirt issued the following statement after receiving calls about Oklahomans unable to register through the state’s voter portal on Friday, the final day to register for the upcoming November election. The issue was highlighted in a report by Oklahoma Watch.

“Every eligible Oklahoman deserves to be on the voter list. We should be concerned that our online voter registration system crashed on deadline day and work to make sure that eligible voters can participate without barriers.”– Senate Democratic Leader Julia Kirt, D-Oklahoma City.
