Statement by Senate Co-President Pro Tempore Glenn Coffee, R-Oklahoma City:
"Republicans and Democrats have worked together over the past year in the evenly divided Senate to make sure the people's business gets done.
"While there will be disagreements on certain policy initiatives, I am confident that we can find common ground on some issues proposed by Senate Democrats today.
"It is critical that Republicans and Democrats work together this session to fix our roads and bridges, to improve education and healthcare, to keep dangerous and habitual criminals off our streets, to enact economic reforms that attract investment and jobs, and to make state government more accountable, more transparent, and more innovative to better serve our citizens.
"Oklahoma is at a crossroads. New and innovative leadership will ensure Oklahoma moves to greatness in our second century."
