Sen. Stephens releases statement on Israel

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Blake Stephens, R-Tahlequah, released the following statement on Monday regarding the attacks on Israel.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Israel during this unimaginable time, as well as to the Jewish community here in Oklahoma and around the world. These cowardly attacks by the Hamas regime will not and should not be ignored by the United States and other nations globally. This total lack of humanity should be a warning to the free world that no one is safe from this terrorist organization and those nations, like Iran, who support and promote such evil. It must be met with the full strength and power of our nation’s military and that of our allies who also fight to protect freedom and human rights worldwide.

“Regardless of what our federal government does or does not do, I will always support Israel. This stems from my strong belief in God’s word and a deeply held conviction of my heart. We cannot and must not let this evil prevail.”
