Sen. Standridge announces Norman town hall meeting

State Sen. Rob Standridge announced he’ll hold a town hall meeting on Monday, June 10, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Lowry Room of the Pioneer Library at 225 North Webster Avenue. Standridge said the main focus will be on transportation.

“I was principal Senate author of the bill that created the Office of Mobility and Public Transit. The bill was signed by the governor and takes effect this July,” Standridge said. “Through this new law, we hope to develop innovative pilot programs that will help Oklahomans, especially those with disabilities, meet fundamental transportation needs in their communities.”

Standridge said while the focus was on transportation, attendees were welcome to ask questions and discuss other issues of interest from the just-ended 2019 legislative session.

“I want to invite all our citizens to attend, and I look forward to hearing their thoughts and feedback on the 2019 session, on transportation and any other related issues that may be on the horizon for the 2020 session as well,” Standridge said. “I appreciate the opportunity to serve the people of Norman at the Capitol—getting that input helps me better represent District 15 in the State Senate.”
