OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate President Pro Tempore Brian Bingman recently appointed Sen. Frank Simpson to the Senate Agenda Committee to decide what issues the Senate Republican Caucus will be addressing in the 2014 session.
“I’m pleased to have been chosen for this important committee that will help decide the direction our Caucus will take in the upcoming session,” said Simpson, R-Ardmore. “There are so many issues worthy of our attention but since session is only four months, we have to be especially mindful that we focus only on those issues that are of utmost importance to our state’s economy and the well-being of our citizens.”
Simpson was one of 11 members chosen to be on the committee. The committee will be holding several meetings between now and the Republican Caucus Retreat on November 7 to work on the agenda, which will be announced closer to session.
