OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Paul Scott has a 100% voting record on 2020 legislation supporting Oklahoma businesses, economic growth and job creation according to the non-partisan Research Institute for Economic Development (REID).
“I’m proud to support my fellow business owners and all of Oklahoma’s various industries and companies. Our state’s business community supports Oklahoma families but also the vital state services like education, public safety and health that we all depend on daily,” said Scott, R-Duncan. “I will continue to advocate and support legislation that promotes economic growth and job creation while attracting companies from around the nation and world to our great state.”
Each year, REID selects bills that support job creation and economic growth and then grades legislators on their votes. Legislators earn positive points when they support job creation and economic development issues. Points are deducted when they introduce or vote for legislation that negatively impacts Oklahoma’s business climate. A score of 70 and above represents a passing grade while 69 and below represents a failing grade. Scores are released in the annual REID Report.
