Sen. McCortney comments on resignation of Sec. Loughridge

State Sen. Greg McCortney, Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services, issued the following statement Tuesday on the resignation of Sec. of Health and Mental Health, Jerome Loughridge, who was appointed to that position by Gov. Kevin Stitt in March of 2019.

“As the Senate’s Chair of Health and Human Services, it was my great pleasure to work with Secretary Loughridge on several key health and mental health issues facing our state, including our efforts to increase access to health care and on Oklahoma’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“He’s been a dedicated public servant—no surprise given his humanitarian and health care efforts around the world.  I’m extremely grateful for Secretary Loughridge for his service to Oklahoma during these unprecedented times.”
