Sen. Jett extends condolences to family of district attorney-elect David Hammer

Sen. Shane Jett, R-Shawnee, released a statement Tuesday following the passing of newly elected Pottawatomie and Lincoln County district attorney, David Hammer on Sunday.

“My family’s thoughts and prayers are with the Hammer family in this difficult time. This is a great loss not only for his friends and family, but for the community of Shawnee and the citizens of Pottawatomie and Lincoln counties. Hammer was a compassionate, hardworking public servant who dedicated his life to helping others and protecting justice, as a police officer, assistant district attorney and defense attorney. His knowledge and expertise of the criminal justice system was vast and will be greatly missed.”
