Sen. Jech issues statement praising U.S. Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Darcy Jech, R-Kingfisher, issued the following statement on Friday after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade.

“Today’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade properly puts the decision of whether or not states allow abortions back into the hands of each state.  Oklahomans have long supported life.  In 2021, I helped pass the 'trigger' bill that would essentially ban abortions in our state once Roe v. Wade was overturned.  Thankfully, that day has come.  For those of us who hoped for this decision, our state is well prepared to act promptly on the court’s action.”
