Sen. Brian Guthrie Recognizes Class 6A-1 State Champions

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Brian Guthrie, R-Bixby, welcomed the Bixby High School football team to the Senate floor Thursday to recognize their seventh consecutive state title win. Guthrie presented the 2024 Class 6A-1 State Champion team and coaches with a citation to recognize their numerous accomplishments.

“It’s an honor to recognize the Bixby High School football team and coaching staff for their incredible achievement of winning their seventh consecutive state title. Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance are an inspiration to us all, and I’m proud to celebrate these student-athletes on the Senate floor today,” Guthrie said.

Bixby High School has won 10 of the last 11 state championships. With their 2024 win, Bixby is now tied for most consecutive high school championships in Oklahoma history.
