OKLAHOMA CITY – State Sen. Micheal Bergstrom is commending the Senate’s approval of Ann Neal’s reappointment to the Oklahoma Arts Council. Neal will serve a three-year term ending July 1, 2022.
“It is an honor and a pleasure to carry Ann Neal's nomination to the Oklahoma Arts Council for the Governor,” said Bergstrom, R-Adair. “The governor clearly sees the legacy of her years of service in Arts and Humanities and wants to continue to bring her expertise to the state level. Ann will continue to be a great ambassador for northeastern Oklahoma on the state Arts Council."
Neal currently is the Senior Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Board of the First National Bank and Trust Company of Miami. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and an MBA in finance, both from the University of Chicago. She was the recipient of the Governor’s Arts Award in 2014 and was named to the Journal Record’s Woman of the Year Circle of Excellence in 2013. She is the Miami Arts & Humanities Council Founding President, as well as a past Vice-President and board member.
“Ann has done a great job as the chair of the council and her re-appointment will give her the opportunity to build upon her work thus far. Her talents run deep, and I appreciate her desire to see the arts flourish in Oklahoma."
