State Senator Adam Pugh was presented with the Rising Star award at the State Chamber of Oklahoma’s Public Affairs Forum on December 12 in Oklahoma City.
The State Chamber gives the Rising Star Award to a newly elected legislator for taking bold actions during their first term in office. Pugh, a first term Senator from Edmond, was chosen by the State Chamber for his strong commitment to growing Oklahoma’s economy, as shown by his authorship of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission Task Force Bill to ensure that the Commission that regulates nearly 70% of all businesses in the state is structured effectively.
“I’m incredibly honored to be chosen for the Rising Star Award,” Pugh said. “I work with many incredible men and women and to be honored among such an amazing group of leaders is truly an honor. I believe in the future of our state and I look forward to continuing to seek ways to build a stronger future for generations to come.”
Pugh was also recognized as Oklahoma Association for Justice’s ‘Legislator of the Year’ last month at the organization’s annual meeting and banquet.
