Legislative Democrats to host Capitol Conversation this Tuesday
OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate and House Democrats invite the public to their Capitol Conversations series this coming Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m., in room 535 of the state Capitol. Senate Democratic Leader Julia Kirt said people of all ages and political interests are welcome to attend this conversation on potential legislation for the 2027 session.
“Senate and House Democrats will be sharing their priorities for the upcoming session, with legislation that solves real problems. But we also want to hear from Oklahomans about your priorities and concerns as we prepare for the 61st Legislature,” said Kirt, D-Oklahoma City. “This is your chance to talk about the issues you’d like to see addressed.”
Members of the public will be invited to sign up to comment when they arrive. The first 30 people who sign up will be given two minutes each to speak, and groups are encouraged to select a few members to speak on their behalf.
“I look forward to hearing from Oklahomans regarding their needs from lawmakers for this next legislative session,” said House Democratic Leader Melissa Provenzano, D-Tulsa. “As elected officials, it is on us to bring the voices of Oklahomans to the Capitol. Capitol Conversations are a great way to give Oklahomans an opportunity to communicate directly with lawmakers.”
