Windel is the director of granting for the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, a $900 million private foundation located in Ardmore, where she lives with her husband Lynn. She is a graduate of Capitol Hill High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Oklahoma in 1967.
“Mrs. Windel’s education and professional experience as a mathematics educator and the commitment to education she has exhibited throughout her professional career will make her a tremendous board member and asset for the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics,” said Hobson, D-Lexington.
Windel is frequently invited to speak to non-profit groups in connection with granting and accounting.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Society of CPA's, the State Review Committee for the Institute for Organizational Excellence, the Legislative and Program Committees of the Conference of Southwest Foundations, and the OSCPA Not-for-Profit Conference Committee.
