OKLAHOMA CITY – A group of Oklahoma City metro high school students has been honored by the Oklahoma Senate for not only earning their high school diplomas but also completing a significant part of their college education. The students are graduating seniors at Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College, a four-year comprehensive high school located on the campus of Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), under Santa Fe South Charter Schools.
Sen. Michael Brooks and Rep. Alonso-Sandoval welcomed students from the 2025 senior class and congratulated them on their accomplishments. Brooks said the 73 students combined earned more than 3,000 college credit hours. In addition to earning their high school diplomas, 53 students earned their associate degree.
“These students have gotten a tremendous jump start on building a bright future for themselves through Santa Fe South Pathways Middle College,” said Brooks, D-Oklahoma City. “It speaks volumes about the hard work and dedication of these young people, as well as their families, teachers, and administrators – it is absolutely outstanding and something our entire state should take pride in.”
The 2025 graduates also include an Oklahoma Academic All-State recipient; OSSAA Solo and Ensemble State Superior Award winner; OMTA District and State Piano Performance winner; several National Honor Society members; college honor society Phi Theta Kappa members; student council members; four State Academic Scholars with a GPA of 4.0 or higher and ACT score of 27 or higher; three QuestBridge finalists; and one National Merit finalist. The class also completed 9,818 hours of community service.
"As a graduate of Santa Fe South, I take immense pride in witnessing the achievements of students from the SFS Pathways program,” said Alonso-Sandoval, D-Oklahoma City. “This program stands as a leader in our state, ensuring we provide students with the best possible opportunities to achieve their dreams."
