Deevers takes oath, begins first Senate term

OKLAHOMA CITY – Dusty Deevers is now officially on the job as State Senator for District 32.  The Elgin Republican was sworn in during a ceremony at the Capitol on Wednesday alongside friends, family and other supporters in the Senate Chamber.

“I want to sincerely thank the citizens of District 32 for giving me the opportunity to represent them and be their voice at our state Capitol,” Deevers said. “I am excited to roll up my sleeves and get to work to ensure a brighter future for this great state.”

In 2001, Deevers graduated with B.S. in biology from Oklahoma City University where he also played baseball on scholarship. In 2008, he graduated with a Masters of Divinity with languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is now the CEO of Deevers Properties and a pastor at Grace Reformed Baptist Church of Elgin.

Deevers will represent Senate District 32 when session begins on February 5, 2024.
