PONCA CITY – Senator Bill Coleman, R-Ponca City, issued the following statement today in response to severe storms that caused damage across the Ponca City area overnight. 

OKLAHOMA CITY—Following an increase in telemarketing scam calls, Senator Jerry Alvord, R-Wilson, seeks to raise awareness that Oklahoma has an anti-Telemarketer Consumer Registry available to Oklahomans who do not wish to receive unsolicited calls.

OKLAHOMA CITY — Sen. David Bullard, R-Durant, has advanced legislation that would maintain local control of funds raised by local county extension offices across the state.

By keeping locally raised funds separate from state funds, House Bill 3557 ensures that those local dollars can’t be redirected away from county offices.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Democratic Leader Julia Kirt issued the following statement honoring former state Sen. James Howell, D-Midwest City, who passed Tuesday at the age of 91. Howell represented Senate District 42 from 1970 until 1986.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senator Darrell Weaver, R-Moore, secured unanimous Senate approval Wednesday for legislation making it unlawful for any person to inhale, ingest, possess, buy or sell nitrous oxide for the purpose of inducing intoxication.
