OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. David Bullard, R-Durant, released the following statement after the Senate approved eliminating the state portion of the grocery tax Thursday.

OKLAHOMA CITY – On Thursday, the Senate voted to eliminate the 4.5 percent state sales tax on groceries.  The bill had already passed the House.  It now heads to the Governor’s desk.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has introduced Senate Bill 1535, a bill aimed at expanding the scope and impact of the Oklahoma Low Carbon Energy Initiative.

OKLAHOMA CITY – On Monday, Senate Bill 1959, authored by Sen. Jerry Alvord, R-Wilson, was approved overwhelmingly by the Business and Commerce Committee with a bipartisan 12-1 vote.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has introduced Senate Bill 1712, a bill aimed at guiding the transition of electric utilities from coal-fired electric generation facilities to advanced nuclear reactors.
