OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Carri Hicks, co-chair of the Legislative Diabetes Caucus, is inviting Oklahomans living with diabetes, their families, and all who are concerned about this disease to come to the state Capitol on Monday, April 8 for Diabetes Advocacy Day.

OKLAHOMA CITY- Sen. Paul Rosino, R-Oklahoma City, and Sen. Adam Pugh, R-Edmond, joined the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics in promoting Oklahoma’s second largest and fastest-growing industry during AERO Day at the state Capitol. The industry provides more than 200,000 jobs across the state and generates upwards of $44 billion in economic activity annually.

Treat: Senate to stop hearing House bills in appropriations until transparency prevails

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Pro Tem Greg Treat, R-Oklahoma City, today expressed disappointment that the Oklahoma House of Representatives is unnecessarily stalling budget negotiations. 

OKLAHOMA CITY- House Bill 1795, the Sergeant CJ Nelson Legacy Act, was unanimously approved by the Senate Education Committee Tuesday. Sen. Kristen Thompson, R-Edmond, serves as the Senate author of the legislation that covers certain higher education expenses for children of fallen first responders.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senator Carri Hicks, D-Oklahoma City, and Sen. Julia Kirt, D-Oklahoma City, honored the Putnam City High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (AFJROTC) robotics team in the state Senate Chamber this past week after they won three state champion awards.
