OKLAHOMA CITY – The Senate Retirement and Government Resources Committee on Tuesday passed legislation that would allow Oklahoma to establish a transactional gold and silver depository.
Sen. David Bullard advanced House Bill 1197, which would allow the state treasurer to establish a local, transactional depository whereby Oklahomans could spend their gold and silver like money through a debit card system.

In front of the full Senate, Murdock recognized Trooper Cody Creswell for going above and beyond the call of duty to reunite the young boy with his family. Creswell was named an OHP Trooper of the Year for 2024 for his actions.

This week, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed House Bill 1060, which allows property owners to relocate an easement on their grounds at their own expense by pursuing civil action. HB 1060 does not apply to utility easements.
