State Sen. Rob Standridge, R-Norman, is once again raising concern regarding managed care organizations (MCO) after the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report finding access and quality problems in managed care.

State Sen. Warren Hamilton, R-McCurtain, announced Wednesday his intent to file the Abolition of Abortion in Oklahoma Act/Equal Protection and Equal Justice Act, which would criminalize and end all abortions in Oklahoma.

Sen. John Haste, R-Broken Arrow, will serve as chair of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and Transportation for the next two years.  Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Treat, R-Oklahoma City, appointed Haste to the position for the upcoming 58^th Oklahoma Legislature. 

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Adam Pugh has been named Chairman of the Senate Education Committee for the 58^th Legislature by Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Treat, R-Oklahoma City.

State Sen. J.J. Dossett, D-Owasso, has received his committee assignments for the next two years.  Senate Democratic Leader Kay Floyd, D-Oklahoma City, has reappointed Dossett to serve on the Senate Education Committee; Agriculture and Wildlife; Appropriations; Veterans and Military Affairs; and the Appropriations Subcommittee on Natural Resources and Regulatory Services.

State Sen. Brenda Stanley, R-Midwest City, has been chosen to serve as vice chair of the Senate Veterans and Military Affairs Committee for the next two years.  Stanley represents Senate District 42 in the Legislature, which includes Tinker Air Force Base.  Stanley was named to the post by Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Treat, R-Oklahoma City.

State Sen. Marty Quinn, R-Claremore, is inviting citizens from across District 2 to attend the Senate redistricting meeting in Pryor on Thursday, Dec. 17.

Sen. Darrell Weaver will be drawing even more on his background in law enforcement as he takes on his new committee assignments for the next two years.  Weaver, R-Moore, has been chosen to serve as vice chair of the Senate Committee on Public Safety, as well as vice chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Public Safety and Judiciary.
