OKLAHOMA CITY – The Senate Select Committee on Business Retention and Economic Development will host its next meeting on Tuesday to hear from state and local leaders to discuss Michelin’s closure and what can be done in the future to keep businesses in the state.

The meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. at the Oklahoma State Capitol, 2300 N. Lincoln Blvd. in room 535.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Darcy Jech, R-Kingfisher, held a joint interim study in the Education Committee Thursday alongside Rep. Rhonda Baker, R-Yukon. The study evaluated rising school insurance rates and the effect on school budgets.
