• The Senate met Monday, approving the following measures:

-SB 587 by Sen. Don Barrington, raises fees for drivers licenses, answering the increasing costs of maintaining the license system.

-SB 89 by Sen. Roger Ballenger, increases the fine for any state traffic citation referring to any form of littering on public or private property.

-SB 374 by Sen. Bill Brown, establishes various requirements for boat rental businesses operating in state parks.

-SB 578 by Sen. Brian Crain, creates the Oklahoma Department of Health Civil Monetary Penalty Revolving Fund, promoting the welfare of nursing facility residents.

-SB 667 by Sen. Robert Standridge, prohibits the use of debit or electronic benefit transfer cards containing state or federal funds in any casino, liquor, tobacco or adult entertainment establishment.

-SB 819 by Sen. Ralph Shortey, disallows the use of certain hunting aids.

-SB 907 by Sen. Greg Treat, establishes the Joint Legislative Committee on Accountability and implements procedures for determining its membership.

-SB 1083 by Sen. Rob Johnson, establishes increased protection for officers, directors and shareholders of a corporation in respect to debt or liability.

-SJR 32 by Sen. Greg Treat, directs the Department of Human Services to take action in order to reduce the size of the Development Disabilities Service Division waiting list.

- HB 2201 by Sen. Brian Bingman, creates the CompSource Mutual Insurance Company Act.

-HB 2005 by Sen. Rick Brinkley, extends the one-time tax credit for investments in clean burning motor vehicle property and removes outdated language of the credit for electric motor vehicle property.

-HB 2032 by Sen. Brian Bingman, reduces the top individual income tax rate.

-HB 1423 by Sen. Kimberley David, adds punishment to any person who attempts to prevent another person from aiding the court.

-HB 1742 by Sen. Gary Stanislawksi, modifies the State Aid formula for school districts.

-HB 1745 by Sen. Tom Ivester, requires a resident or legal representative of the resident of an assisted living center to disclose any third-party provider of medical services or supplies prior to delivery.

-HB 1883 by Sen. John Ford, establishes that Commissioners of the Land Office Revolving Fund are not subject to limitations and transfers from other revolving funds associated with the Land Office.

-SB 864 by Sen. Anthony Sykes, permits the Tax Commission or a taxpayer to file an appeal in the district court of Oklahoma or the county in which the taxpayer resides or appeal directly to the Supreme Court for a trial de novo.

-SB 97 by Sen. Josh Brecheen, authorizes the Department of Public Safety to enter into agreements with persons whose license to operate a motor vehicle has been suspended or revoked, for issuance of provisional licenses that would allow such persons to drive between their place of residence and place of employment.

-SB 283 by Sen. Josh Brecheen, amends language relating to school district employees.

-SB 332 by Sen. Mike Mazzei, eliminates gold and silver from the specified reporting requirements by the tax administration and eliminates language regarding the release of information on production.

-SB 402 by Sen. Ron Justice, allows an animal control officer to seize a dangerous dog without warrant according to provisions in the bill.

-SB 498 by Sen. Mike Mazzei, modifies language related to the County Home Rule Charter Act.

-SB 655 by Sen. Mike Mazzei, clarifies the location of a bridge in Tulsa constructed by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority.

-SB 678 by Sen. John Sparks, exempts from the excise tax any vehicle on which ownership is transferred by a repossessor directly back to the owner or owners from whom the vehicle was repossessed, under certain circumstances.

-SB 708 by Sen. John Sparks, creates a misdemeanor for any person who, without good cause, maliciously or knowingly cuts or damages a fence used for the production or containment of livestock.

-SB 759 by Sen. Anthony Sykes, creates the Deployed Parents School Act of 2013.

-SB 780 by Sen. Josh Brecheen, raises the fine on any person convicted of capturing or killing any wildlife protected by law.

-HB 1759 by Rep. Mike Shelton, names a bridge located on I-44 in Oklahoma City.

-HB 2188 by Rep. Colby Schwartz, states that requests for medical records from attorneys, insurance companies and by way of subpoena to be charged a base fee of $10 in addition to the charge of fifty cents per page plus postage or delivery fee.

• The Senate approved the following measures Wednesday:

-SB 422 by Sen. A.J. Griffin, removes the requirement that all applicants for licensure as electrologists be required to possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study and the satisfactory completion of college courses as determined by the State Board of Electrology.

-SB 233 by Sen. A.J. Griffin, doubles the amount of deposit required from candidates seeking an election recount if the results of the initial election indicate a margin between the first place candidate and second place candidate of ten percent or greater and only allows the candidate’s deposit to be refunded if the recount changed the outcome of the election.

-SB 294 by Sen. Harry Coates, amends language relating to voluntary emergency services.

-HB 1242 by Rep. Steve Martin, permits district and municipal judges to carry a firearm on their person.

-HB 1107 by Rep. Glen Mulready, exempts from claims against individual income tax refunds claims for health care or medical services rendered, induced, or otherwise obtained as a result of fraud.

-HB 1512 by Rep. Glen Mulready, requires documents, materials or other information in the possession or control of the Insurance Department that are obtained by or disclosed to the Commissioner or any other person in the course of an examination or investigation made to be confidential by law and privileged under certain circumstances.

-HB 2048 by Rep. Mike Jackson, modifies language relating to royalties, bonuses, rentals or other monies derived from oil and gas.
