-SB 1216 by Sen. Greg Treat, modifies language related to Department of Human Services’ citizens’ advisory committees.


• Senate committees approved a number of budget-related proposals on Monday.


• The House approved several bills, including the following on Monday.

-HB 2730 by Rep. Bobby Cleveland, makes the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association subject to the Open Records Act.

-HB 3297 by Rep. Leslie Osborn, allows the Department of Labor to regulate compressed natural gas fueling stations instead of the Corporation Commission.


• House conference committees met Monday, approving a number of budget-related bills.

Tuesday, May 20

• The Senate approved a number of bills Tuesday, including the following.

-SB 2127 by Sen. Clark Jolley, makes appropriations to state agencies for the 2015 fiscal year.

-SB 639 by Sen. Kim David, requires the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation’s Child Abuse Response Team to employ at least eight Law Enforcement Special Agents.

-SB 2128 by Sen. Clark Jolley, creates the Oklahoma Affordable Housing Tax Incentive Act of 2014.

-SB 1206 by Sen. Kyle Loveless, establishes permitting procedures for food carts providing services at the State Capitol during the legislative session.


• Senate committees considered a number of bills Tuesday, including the following.

-HB 2562 by Sen. Bryce Marlatt, modifies language relating to the gross production tax rate for all forms of oil and natural gas production.

-SB 1462 by Sen. Gary Stanislawski, modifies language relating to statewide virtual charter schools.

-SB 1639 by Sen. Brian Bingman, creates the Quality Workforce Act.

-HB 2954 by Rep. Josh Cockroft, creates the Fleet Vehicle Compressed Natural Gas Conversion Funding Act of 2014.


• The House approved several bills Tuesday, including the following.

-HB 2630 by Rep. Randy McDaniel, creates the Retirement Security and Freedom Act.

-SB 1187 by Sen. Rob Standridge, establishes policies for the approval of water reuse permits.

-SB 1505 by Sen. David Holt, authorizes state agencies to offer their employees an option to voluntarily elect to be paid for unused accrued annual leave.

• The House met Wednesday, approving several measures including the following.

-HB 2620 by Rep. Steve Martin, prohibits municipalities from enacting or attempting to enforce through civil or criminal penalties any ordinance, rule or regulation to require the registration of real property.

-HJR 1096 by Rep. Jeff Hickman, rejects the Final Report of the Board on Judicial Compensation.

-HB 2643 by Rep. Lee Denney, amends language related to the Oklahoma Equal Opportunity Education Scholarship Act.

-HB 2954 by Rep. Josh Cockroft, creates the Fleet Vehicle Compressed Natural Gas Conversation Funding Act of 2014.

-SB 639 by Sen. Kim David, requires OSBI to employ eight agents under the Child Abuse Response Team.

• House conference committees advanced several bills Wednesday, including the following.
