• Senate committees approved several bills Monday, including the following.

-SB 1182 by Sen. Kim David, allows the Department of Human Services to contract with retired state, county, and municpal peace officers during child abuse and neglect investigations.

• The House approved several bills, including the following on Monday.

-HB 2625 by Rep. Katie Henke, prohibits students from being retained based upon one assessment test.

-HB 1875 by Rep. Charles McCall, outlines an amount to be paid to the State Treasurer to the credit of the Oklahoma Tax Commission for the purpose of enhanced sales tax enforcement.

• House conference committees met Monday, opening several bills for signatures.

Tuesday, May 13

• The Senate approved a number of bills Tuesday, including the following.

-HB 1875 by Rep. Charles McCall, outlines an amount to be paid to the State Treasurer to the credit of the Oklahoma Tax Commission for the purpose of enhanced sales tax enforcement.

-SB 1875 by Sen. Tom Ivester, modifies language relating to the expungement of records.

-SB 1746 by Sen. A.J. Griffin, amends language relating to registration and conduct of lobbyists.

-SB 1745 by Sen. A.J. Griffin, modifies language relating to campaign finance disclosure.

-SB 1744 by Sen. A.J. Griffin, prohibits certain entities from accepting certain contributions.

-SB 1469 by Sen. John Ford, modifies language and dates relating to schools, accreditation, and text book adoption requirements.

• Senate committees considered a number of executive nominations Tuesday.

• The House approved several bills Tuesday, including the following.

-HB 3286 by Rep. Glen Mulready, authorizes the Insurance Commissioner to promulgate rules relating to insurance.

-HB 2495 by Rep. Dennis Casey, authorizes certain fire departments to establish fee schedules for services in response to an emergency.

-SB 2126 by Sen. Clark Jolley, makes an appropriation to the Department of Corrections.

• House conference committees opened a number of bills for signatures Tuesday.

Wednesday, May 14

• The Senate approved the following measure Wednesday.

-SB 1737 by Sen. Brian Crain, amends language relating to inspections and standards at city and county jails.

• Senate committees took up a number of executive nominations Wednesday.

• The House met Wednesday, approving several measures including the following.

-HB 3143 by Rep. Mike Jackson, modifies provisions related to applicability of municipal taxation and regulatory ordinances.

-HB 3349 by Rep. Don Armes, creates the Federal Clean Water Act Grant Revolving Fund.

-HB 3012 by Rep. Sean Roberts, allows correctional officers of Oklahoma Department of Corrections to retain custody of certain firearms.

-HB 3511 by Rep. Jeff Hickman, modifies language relating to the Central Purchasing Act.

-HB 3510 by Rep. Jeff Hickman, modifies language relating to justifiable homicide.

-HB 2614 by Rep. Steve Martin, modifies language relating to the carrying and possession of firearms by certain person.
