About the Senator

Senator Todd Gollihare grew up in Stratford, Oklahoma where he graduated from Stratford Public Schools. He went on to attend East Central University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Upon completion of college, he joined the United States Marines.

Lieutenant Colonel Gollihare began his career as a United States Marine Corps Officer in May 1986 and retired after twenty-four years of service in November 2011.

While serving in the Marines, he attended The University of Tulsa College of Law and received his Juris Doctorate.

In addition to his military service, Senator Gollihare served as the Chief United States Probation Officer for the Northern District of Oklahoma. A position he held until his retirement in April of 2021.

Senator Gollihare made his home in Kellyville for over twenty years and served on the Kellyville Board of Education from 2004 to 2016.

In November of 2022, he was sworn in as the State Senator for Oklahoma State Senate District 12 which is comprised of Creek and Tulsa Counties.

Senator Gollihare was married for 33 years to the former Miss Melanie Nichols of Stonewall, Oklahoma. Melanie passed away in January 2020 from an extended illness.

In March 2023, Senator Gollihare married the former Miss Jamie Harmon of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He has three daughters all of whom graduated from Kellyville Public Schools and went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University. He also has a stepdaughter, who is currently a junior at the University of Oklahoma.

On his birthday in April 2022, he was blessed with his first grandchild. He was blessed with his second and third grandchildren in February and June of 2024.
