Christopher Nick
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Christopher Nick was born in rural Oklahoma. As a small child, he spent many hours observing nature and rendering pencil sketches of his musings. Encouraged by his elementary teachers to pursue these skills, he continued to draw and paint on his own. Christopher was later accepted into the Atelier LeSuer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he received formal training in the tradition of the Old Masters.
He is currently living in Oklahoma City with his wife Ann, where he enjoys a career as a full time illustrator. "I am so very grateful to have this opportunity to paint a piece of Oklahoma history for our State Capitol. I am most grateful for my faith, my wife, who has been my best friend, and the friends at the Capitol who have displayed the confidence in me to complete this work."
