• The Senate Education Committee unanimously approved six different executive nominations Monday as follows:

-Daniel Chad Dillingham, of Enid, to the Board of Regents of the Northern Oklahoma College, to serve a five-year term ending June 30, 2021, succeeding Keith James.

-Dr. Stanley L. Evans, of Oklahoma City, to the Board of Trustees for Langston University-Oklahoma City and Langston University-Tulsa, to serve a seven-year term ending June 30, 2023, succeeding M. L. Jemison.

• The Senate met Monday afternoon and approved the following legislation:

-SB1369, by Sen. Kay Floyd and Rep. Cyndi Munson, defines the terms "homeless children and youth," "runaway," and "youth at risk of homelessness." The bill requires information concerning youth at risk of homelessness and runaways be included in the report from the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth's Office of Planning and Coordination. The measure passed 29-6 and now goes to Gov. Fallin for her consideration.

• The Senate approved the following bills during the session on Monday, including:

-HB 2676 by Rep Cory Williams and Sen. Corey Brooks, modifies certain criteria for in-state status for military personnel and their family. The measure passed 36-6.

-HB 2423 by Rep. Bob Cleveland and Sen. David Holt, authorizes savings and loan associations to exercise powers and authorities as specified in sections of the Oklahoma Savings and Loan Code. The measure passed 41-7.

• Without discussion or debate, the Senate approved three bills Monday and sent another to conference.

-HB 2315, by Rep. Jadine Nollan and Sen. Ron Sharp, authorizes instruction completed by the school district treasurer or encumbrance clerk within three years prior to employment to count toward satisfying the requirements of continuing education. The bill and its emergency clause passed 46 to 0. The bill goes to Gov. Mary Fallin for her consideration.

• The Senate met briefly Monday and adopted a single resolution, SR 48, by Sen. A J Griffin, congratulating the 2016 Class B Girls Basketball State Champions, the Lomega Lady Raiders.

• The Senate Pensions Committee approved five bills Monday with no debate.
