• The Senate met Monday, approving a number of appropriations measures and the following bills:

-HB 3026 by Rep. Chris Benge, creates the Commissioners of the Land Office Modernization Act.

-HB 2992 by Rep. John Enns, modifies language related to notices for bids issued by boards of county commissioners, requiring the notice to state manner of payment to the contractor and whether the contractor will be paid in money, bonds or both for making improvements.

• The Senate met Monday, but approved no substantive legislation.

• Senate committees approved the following measures on Monday:

-HB 2929 by Rep. Ann Coody, creates the Oklahoma Advisory Council on Indian Education Act.

-HB 2704 by Rep. Randy McDaniel, directs the Lottery Commission to pay to the Employment Security Commission monies withheld from a lottery prize.

• Senate committees approved numerous sunset bills and the following measures on Monday:

-HB 2989 by Rep. John Enns, mandates that owners of property who have an interest in certain civil litigation be notified by first-class mail at least 10 days prior to the date of the hearing.
