Senate confirms Joshua Haven to the Oklahoma Mining Commission

Joshua Haven, Cheyenne, was unanimously approved by the Senate on Monday to serve as a member of the Oklahoma Mining Commission. The nomination was carried by Sen. Darcy Jech, R-Kingfisher.

Haven is the assistant vice president and loan officer for Security State Bank in Cheyenne. An animal science graduate of Oklahoma State University, Haven currently serves as the Roger Mills County Farm Bureau President and is an associate board member of the Upper Washita Conservation District.

“Joshua’s background in agriculture and proven record of leadership makes him a great fit for the Oklahoma Mining Commission,” Jech said. “His banking experience will also bring a unique perspective to the position. I know he will serve well in this capacity.”

Haven will serve a seven-year term to the commission expiring Jan. 1, 2027.
